deepstint Privacy Policy

deepstint is a personal focus and time-tracking tool. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
When you sign in, we store your email address and the data you enter in the app: focus sessions, tasks, priorities, journal entries, and settings. This data is stored in your personal account and used only to sync your data across devices.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties. We do not use it for advertising. We do not run analytics on your personal data.
Website analytics
On our website we use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. It is cookieless, collects no personal data, and reports only aggregate, anonymous traffic (page views, referrers, country). It cannot identify you and never tracks you across other sites. It runs regardless of your cookie choice below, since it doesn't use cookies or collect personal data in the first place. If you join the beta list, we store the email you give us and, where available, which page or campaign it came from — used only to email you about deepstint.
Cookies & tracking
We also use Google Tag Manager to load two optional categories of tools, only if you agree: analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, to understand site traffic) and marketing (ad measurement and retargeting tools such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads, where enabled). Neither loads, and no related cookie is set, until you accept it in the cookie banner or preferences dialog. Rejecting or accepting only affects deepstint.com — it has no effect on the app itself, which doesn't use these tools.

Where your data is stored
Your data is stored securely via Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States.
AI features
Two features send the content you typed to a third party: tapping "Summarize" on your journal sends that day's entries to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a short reflective summary; tapping "auto-slice" on a task sends that task's text to the same provider to suggest first steps. Both require a signed-in account and only run when you tap the button — nothing is sent automatically or in the background. Anthropic processes that text only to generate the response to that request, under its own API terms. Every other kind of content (task names, priorities, tags, journal entries you don't summarize) stays out of this and never leaves your device the way described above.
Anonymous use
You can use deepstint without signing in. In that case, all data stays in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
Deleting your data
To delete your account and all associated data, email privacy@deepstint.com. We will process requests within 7 days.
